Does it bother you that the wikipedia page on anarcho-capitalism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarcho-capitalism) (sic) is easily the longest most in depth page on anarchism in wikipedia? cause it bothers me when I consider that wikipedia is the first place people go to find out something and see this and then look at the page for social anarchism and see only discussion on it's schools of thought, or if someone goes to see the easilly more historically important tendency of syndicalism and finds how little there is written on it? Those long paragraphs on "history" and "theory and practice" were added by me only a couple of days ago.

A theory as historically significant as syndicalism is left with an introduction and nothing else but a list of syndicalists (till now) while anarcho-capitalism (sic) - a theory which has never been manifested even once outside of intellectual discourse - is given such a deep treatment is certainly bothersome

anyone with me on this?

I think imma gonna do something bout it but I'm having trouble finding a good list of sources, in fact I find the whole reference system of wiki confusing, but without it I don't trust a word.

WoW your not wrong that is a lot of information on a fairly obscure subject. Obviously there is one committed anarcho-cappie out there. I'd say do something about it but that would be hypocritical of me as I've been meaning to expand a wiki page on Paul Frolich for a long time.

Just more proof that Anarcho-caps are simply internet tough guys.

Not surprising at all. As we all know, ancaps pretty much only exist on the internet, and given the fact that little to none of them engage in any real life activism toward the realization of their goals (which again surprises no one, as most of them save perhaps the agorists are idealist utopians who think their free market paradise will come around by convincing everyone of the virtues of anarcho-capitalism, not through revolutionary struggle), they focus their energies toward trolling internet message boards and meticulously editing wikipedia to make their views known.

In short, they have too much free time, and they're not gonna go out and actually fight for their principles, so all they have left is to waste everyone else's time.

Anarcho-capitalism is pretty much a joke, but the anarcho-capitalist forum at Anti-State.com is hilarious, I think. They're keepin' it chan on that site.

Is the title of this thread a reference to Family Guy, or the pedophile Kimmo Johan Alm?

Rather detailed for an obscure little ideology.

Anarcho-Communism and left-libertarianism, however, are pretty well catered for on Wikipedia, in terms of detail, not sure about the content.:)

Wikipedia pages can be occupied by ideologues and other people of those type, who proceed to turn the page into their playground and constantly observe it to make sure it suits their interests.

Some are worse than others. It gets notably bad with fan things (fictional universes). Bob Avakian has a fairly long page too.

Not really a big deal though. Shows that the real anarchists are out on the streets fighting the good fight, AnCaps have nothing better to do but INTERNETS.

This is true, I'd hardly take wiki as a mesure of the sucess for ideologies, and what Red Commissar says is true, Bobby has a huge page, as do some increadibly obscure comic book charachters.

The right wing community ranging from anarcho-caps to right wing conservatives seem to dominate the internet!

They make it seem like everyone and their mom is a right winger.

Somewhat in the same fashion we collude with liberals at times (unfortunately). There seems to be a struggle between the "free marketers" and Glen Beck FOX news faction within the 'tea party'. As it is now the system isn't going to let the free marketeers gain too much ground because of their (supposed) anti war views. I'd say the capitalists and their bourgeois state is in almost complete control of the right wing movement in general.

LOL at this
