I don't think it's right to make fun of people. The community of that ideology exists because of our failures. If anything, this is directed at our inability to educate and lead. :(

He was a bright young guy though. Imagine being someone from the "newleft" and having to hear that level of ignorance. I'd go insane, I'd yell at them.

No that community of ideology exists due to capitalist propaganda and the fact that most right wingers are greedy!

I think you're talking completely out of your ass. On what basis are these people "lumpenproletariat"?

Most right wingers are "proletarians" at least in the united states. They are not greedy, if fact they are protesting somethings that WE should be protesting. Capitalist horrors like the current bailout. It is our fault that we haven't led these people down the right route. We've let them think that people like Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck defend their interests while "communists" like Obama want to give more money to the corporations. It is a very said day when the left whose goal it is to get rid of the corporate power structure cannot dispel a myth so ironic as the idea that we want to give money to the leading capitalists. We should ask ourselves why aren't these people in our movement protesting the bailout and protesting the evils of capitalism, but rather why are they promoting something worse than the bailout: anarcho capitalism. We have not seized our opportunity, and we are not working to do so.

I agree. Just being a dumbass doesn't make a person lumpen-proletariat.

I love this video. What I love is the guy who says "America is the last bastion of hope," and the guy questions him saying "There are no other bastions of hope in the world." The guy's response is classic "No this is the last bastion of hope, America," and to make his point valid he adds in "God shed his grace on thee."

I wouldn't be so sure that these guys are preaching an anarcho-capitalist agenda. I will admit that before arriving at where I am at today, I once sympathized with anarcho-capitalism and right wing libertarianism. At the end of my disenfranchisement, I recall many "libertarians" if you can call them that, stating their disapproval of the tea parties and what they have become. A few people I knew attended one and felt very much in the minority in the very early days of the movement. If I remember correctly the spark for the tea parties was created by those associated with the US Libertarian Party and other libertarian leaning right wingers, but was quickly hijacked by angry and belligerent GOP voters.
You can find an An-Cap getting removed by the cops at a tea party when you search for "Anarcho Capitalist Confronts Leftists at Denver Tea Party" in youtube.
I think what their preaching more is a form of government that caters to the bourgeoisie capitalists. This sort of stems from the very American ideal of hating a government that does anything for you, but protects the corporations. This isn't really new and very deeply ingrained in many Americans. Perhaps it's not really the failure of the left that's to blame for this, but the prevalence of that thought.
You'll see them spout the very right wing, optimistic capitalist saying that "if anyone works hard enough, they can achieve anything." But you'll also hear them say nothing about curtailing military spending, repealing things such as the patriotic act, and so on.
In my views it's just the authoritarian right wrapped up in a new bow that presents itself as "getting back to America's roots" because the conservative's had to present themselves in a different manner after an abysmal decade of GOP control.
