What think you of it? I hate christmas, and I do not celebrate it, but I love christmas songs, particularly the ones that have nothing to do with christ and play on the radio 24/7. :thumbup1: Christmas must come early this year

I Am Santa Claus - Bob Rivers - Lyrics (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phNSBlFq_JA)

The local rock station plays the shit out of this every December. It's just not that funny anymore.

I hate christmas music with a vengeance, but I'd say that comes from working in a shop and hearing it on a loop for hours on end.

I like Xmas because where I live, there's no snow. (I hate snow and really cold weather.) As for Christmas Music (there is no Xmas music I'm aware of,) I don't listen to it at all.

Eh, it depends. The stuff they tend to play in public is usually the same old crap.

The Pogues' 'christmas' song is good. Other than that, xmas songs are usually based on formulaic chord progressions and basic lyrical patterns, as they appeal to the lowest common denominator. Every time xmas approaches, record labels churn out a record, and every time it reflects successful pop conventions. It has to reflect what is in the chart at the time, and every xmas song is catered to a mainstream audience, just like xmas gifts are catered towards a mainstream consumer audience.

Why a commie would like xmas music is beyond me, unless they were an utter cock nose. Everything about xmas you may like is crafted in such a way thanks to market research, which is your natural enemy. GTFO with your xmas bullshit on this forum.

Regrettably, a Google search for "sexual Christmas songs" has disappointing results. I thought Google was supposed to know everything? I don't want to have to make up my own bawdy ditties.

If anyone plays christmas music in my presence prior to Thanksgiving, I will break an energy saver light bulb or a glass vase over their face... seriously!!! Christmas music, except for a few songs, annoys the shit out of me... and it annoys me even more when they start in October and end in February!!!!

Those who live where the tradition is that Santa leaves the presents under the tree during night are lucky. When I was a kid, some friend of my parents would dress as Santa and come visit, and I was forced to sing Christmas songs to Santa in order to get my presents.

We were atheists, so it was never the more religious ones (just the ridiculous ones about Santa, Rudolf the Reindeer etc), but still I was traumatised. I hate christmas music, and think it's utterly wrong that I will be forced to listen to it at work between October and January.

I celebrate Christmas every October 31st!

But seriously, I like Christmas songs also. Especially ones about ghosts and stuff.

Again, I don't celebrate Christmas. I like Christmas songs that tend to have nothing to do with Christ or "our savior".

Read the title of the forum you're in.

I shouldn't know this, but I'm pretty sure Lady Gaga has a Christmas song about getting hung on a Christmas tree or something where "Christmas tree" means "cock."

Anyway, I LOVE X-Mas music.

Also, I'm a passionate anti-theist and I still celebrate Christmas every year.

So there!

Mythmas to me is about having a break from school, spending time with family and exchanging gifts. Everything else I hate. The decorations, the annoying music, people talking about it so much, tv specials, etc. all piss me off. Every mythmas I get angry and somewhat depressed. I can live without such a holiday. The music especially irritates me. Its played everywhere for months where theres no escape, and that happens every year. All the christian lyrics and shit about made up santa characters and what not make me upset to the point where it pretty much ruins the holiday alltogether whenever I try to get into it.

Eh, I like the ornamentation. Christmas is the most beautiful time of the year besides autumn.
