I use the FlashBlock add-on so they don't load unless I click on them. Generally I click the link at the top and open the Youtube page in a new tab anyway.

I figured out why embed isn't working: my posts are going to moderation! That must mess up the code. It's not a big deal. I can see why it's happening after the recent problems with banning and all that. I'm sure it'll be sorted out sooner or later.
