Im with Detroit(they are the red wings one right? :tt2:) i used to "play" hockey in sega, yeah long time ago, and i was getting that team, the red wing one.

Ice-hockey used to bee the peoples sport here in Sweden (it still is when it commes to support) but the last decades biger gaps betwen peoples incomme have made hockey more expensive.

Anyway today is a derby betwen DIF-AIK and i got no tickets :(

I'm hoping the Rangers and Islanders stay competitive so I can have a little local entertainment in my life between the World Series and spring training baseball. If not I'll just be watching good teams on national TV, or the Devils.

are you kidding me? maurice "rocket" richard is the biggest proletarian hero in quebec because he overcame racism against french people (when back then they were actually second class citizens) and because he was damn good at playing hockey, there were riots when the league was going to kick him out:

perhaps in europe it is a sport for the elite, but in quebec there is an ice hockey rink in pretty much every neighborhood and most people own a stick and skates, especially in the working class neighborhoods.

looool, i love this game:D actually not really the game, but the fights:lol:
fights bettween players as far as i know its a trademark of ice hockey, even video games allow a fight to start:lol: that was a pretty good fight psycho. i really liked how the 2 were in the middle of the stadium(or ring :p) and they were talking doing nothing, and then suddenly the camera turns around and they try to kick each others ass(pretty lame fight though, but i cant judge a fight in ice :p)

The Habs started out slow, but beat the Bruins twice and the Flyers once to get back on track. You will notice that they have started to win when Gomez got injured and hasn't played. Coincidence? Nah.

My best friend tells me I have to root for the Rangers or else she is going to kick my ass.

Also...our own competition is almost done. Our team is finishing 9th...of 9...with 75 goals against...out of 6 games. :thumbup1: Which is really good because they are doing much better than last year. And they also managed to score a few goals this year too.
