Okay, I am new to Anarchism, I am not an Anarchist(yet).. So, what are the basics of Anarchism?

Is it plain and simple, no government? I have heard that it just involves the abolition of state.

Can someone sum it up to me, in a simple way?

Anarchism is a movement of high Anti-Capitalist feelings. The idea is not the lack of government, but lack of hierarchy, that is, the existence of decision-making power over others. This allows for labor exploitation, and depletes human creativity. Because those under hierarchy do not exercise their creative capabilities, and become depedant on others, they lose creative spirit and question their own capabilities. All of said things damages humanity's creativity, and only in a non-hierarchical society can we dissolve labor exploitation (I presume you are familiar with this?) and be truly free, self-creative beings. That is what Anarchy is to me.

This (http://libcom.org/library/what-is-anarchism-alexander-berkman) should help with any questions you might have. Not to say you shouldn't ask questions on here, but like the site will say, it's a good starting point for those interested in understanding Anarchism. :thumbup1:

Self-management and self-government. No hierarchical social relationships.

The Anarchist FAQ (http://www.infoshop.org/page/AnAnarchistFAQ) in AK's signature is also really good for answering any questions you have.
