The funny thing with this gem is that it isn't a parody:

http://mises.org/daily/110

There was something else I saw the other day, which I almost thought I would base a thread like this on, but I have unfortunately forgot what it was.

One of the worst I've seen is actually right here on RevLeft. Shankara quoted from an explicitly reactionary right-wing Christian website that was explicitly sexist and homophobic: (He received a verbal warning for this among other reasons)

"A man never votes for a ####" was probably the single most reactionary stuff I've read today. At the same time, that kind of shit is usual for males who feel that they are oppressed by the fact that they cannot oppress so many people legally today.

Seriously when does he get banned, sometime this year?

If someone is going to be banned, Chit-Chat isn't really the place to discuss it.

I have actually seen worse. There's a Swedish blog with an "ex-gay male" who is claiming that homosexuality is unnatural because homosexuals cannot have babies naturally. He also claims to be secular...

Of course you are right, but then those people don't pretend to be leftists either.

It's worse when self-claimed socialists have such views surely?

I actually don't know if AS wants to convert gays, if he's a troll or a sincere user, if he's even knowing what he himself is writing... but one thing is certain, it was a long time ago since I managed to read through what he was writing.

Anyway, if anyone here is having issues with a user, instead of bringing forth the torches and pitch-forks, call the nearest moderator.

Ok, but that's not why I made that post in this thread. He already received a verbal warning for it.

I posted it here because well this thread is for all types of reactionary ideas, including reactionary ideas posted on RevLeft in principle.

http://store.amren.com/cart.php?target=product&product_id=2110 Actually, now you have mentioned that, it isnt that surprising how someone could congure up something that even most right wing people would laugh at for ages in my country. How could even a white nationalist, try and make on of the most universial 'bad-guys' in literature sound like a saint with a cause? It crosses the flat stable lands of sanity into the chaotic, current filled river of madness very quickly indeed. Even total scumbags dont try and praise 'scrouge'.

http://www.revleft.com/vb/feminists-malei-t141787/index3.htmlPlease keep your petty Revleft quarrels out of Chit-Chat and rather within your minds, inasmuch as they have a substantive volume. If such is not the case then it should not be overmuch a hurdle, inasmuch as those thrones of which all men partake should contain sufficient space, as well as a convenient disposal mechanism.

Actually, they in general are emotional, even though they often claim to be rational.

In fact, they feel that they are not rewarded in accordance with their superiority, and that others should know their place.

Pretty much every right-wing article describing India's economic system between 1947 to 1991 as socialist as a way of highlighting how socialism "doesn't work".

As said, check out this. Female suffrage is blamed on(!) as the reason for "government expansion"(!!!). In short, one reactionary idea is used as a justification for another.

No. He's real. There is an entire movement around this. :( Thankfully that "entire movement" amounts to a tiny group of people whose complete twattery is given an entirely illusionary feel of size because the echo-chamber of the internet inflates the apparent size of every irrelevant clump of wankers. Honestly, if he has attracted more than 3 pointless dudes to his "movement" I'd be surprised.

Since I spend a lot of (possibly too much) time reading the views of the twatterati I quite often have to remind myself that these cretinous dickloaves are a tiny but shouty minority. Bellowing impotently because the modern world has left them where they should be: alone and surrounded by the progress that scares them.

I don't know if you're familiar with the tenets of the Pentecostal denomination, but as someone who had the misfortune of being raised in the Southeastern US, I am. All you need to know is that those assholes are the ones who believe in speaking in tongues, "laying hands," and snake handling. That, and they make their women dress up like the Juniper Creek loonies from the HBO series Big Love.

They're right up there with Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, the Nation of Islam, and the Black Israelites as far as the wing nut factor goes. To put it another way, just consider for a moment how much crazy it takes to make a Southern Baptist say, "Now those mother fuckers just ain't right." Chalk it up to too much inbreeding.

Yeah, they're down here in Texas too. Interesting bunch to say the least.

Speaking of right-wing reaction there is a house near where I live that's got a "Fight Socialism" sign pitched up on their lawn. It is amusing.
