Burn! is a great movie depicting the change from slavery to capitalism and colonialism to neocolonialsm in a fictitious island in the Caribbean.

Supposedly Pontacorvo and Brando almost got into a fistfight on the set. Brando had a big ego and wanted his side profile done just right.

When Pontacorvo died two years ago there was very little said about it in the mainstream media or alt media, at least that I've seen.

Burn! is one of my all time favorites. I love the background music score as well.

Supposedly...and supposedly not. Whatever the case, it was Brando who arranged for a benefit screening of Burn! for the Los Angeles chapter of the Black Panther Party in 1970.

There are two versions of the movie, Quemada and Burn! Quemada runs 135 minutes and is in Italian and Burn! runs 112 minutes. Both versions are available.
