Last year, Norway and Iceland passed laws criminalizing the purchase of sex while decriminalizing the selling of sex. These laws follow the model established by Sweden a decade earlier. This law has been rather successful (http://www.justicewomen.com/cj_sweden.html).

We need to decriminalize the selling of sex in the United States and criminalize the purchase of sex in Europe. Only then can we eradicate prostitution and the problems that women in the sex industry face.

I don't think that criminalising the purchase of sex is the answer. People sell their bodies because they are desperate, and criminalising the purchase of sex won't take away the conditions that drive them to do that.

Do you even know what purchase means?

Yes, but I don't think that punishing people for buying sex is going to do anything to stop people from selling it, or help the people that are selling it.

That is why they add measures to give prostitutes a way out.

Won't criminalizing the purchase of sex just make it worse for the ones desperate looking for money.
