Does anyone know how to hack a PSP 3000 to firmware 6.20? I cannot seem to find anything and most threads about it on the internet is hope they will make one (at least ten months ago). I really do not want to start paying for this stuff but it does not seem like they are making it anytime soon.

Do you want to downgrade it to 6.20? Or are you asking how to hack it at 6.20?
Because you can't downgrade it, you have to download the Patapon 2 demo and then install HBL loader.

Dont!I have a friend which we bought almost at the same time our PSP's(the first fat ones:D) and since that i didnt tried to hack it, and i still have it with me working great(though i dont use it much, could be months and months before even consider open it just for few minutes) and he bought 5-6 more since that, and hacked them all.He now has one, that he still havent hacked but he continues thinking of doing it!My opinion would be dont do it.(i dont know how anw)

That's why it's always best to hack stuff that you don't have any immediate use for, or that can be replaced easily. Sometimes I think hacking could be construed as a type of planned obsolescence but on a psychological level. There are always hacks that carry little potential for harm to the device, although these usually have limited utility. The more useful hacks are usually those that have a high probability of going wrong and bricking your device. There's no doubt that hacking stuff can be hours and hours of frustrating entertainment, but the way I do it probably has more in common with a toddler trying to open a happy mean than anything truly subversive.
The Dev-Team is a perfect example of truly subversive hacking. Although there are no screams for social justice, lofty social theories, or any broad political message to speak of, they are arguably the strongest autonomous force existing today, working to resist the interests of Apple Inc's capital accumulation. It is not hard to imagine that within a particular historic, economic, and political climate, a bunch of computer geeks like Dev-Team could usher in the bankruptcy and failure of a major computer manufacturer.
I don't mean to get all cyberpunk or nothin', but if you pay attention to what's happening, it don't seem so far fetched.

I want to hack it to be able to play 6.20 since I bought a game and the current custom firmware is 5.03. 3000 model does not seem able to do this.

I've already hacked it. I just want to know how to upgrade it without using the official firmware.
