This is an introduction thread. I'm being introduced. Hi.

Essentially, I'm a Finnish Marxist. Kind of left communist-esque, but not really fond of labeling. I float.

As a sidenote, I'm a linguistics buff and I'm very interested in Chinese history and society. I enjoy jazz music, I drink my coffee black, I'm pro-skub, I find the word "comrade" extraordinarily cheesy. My facial hair is totally not adequate considering my political ideology. Nice to meet you etc

Are you active politically wise?

Unfortunately, I am not. I have definitely interest in getting politically active, I pretty much know the right organizations for that, but I honestly have way too much stuff going on and I need to settle down a bit before I actually can consider doing some actual, real political work.

So yeah, it's not really an option for me right now, but hopefully will be in a year or so. So right now, my only option is being a very occasional communist, that's pretty much why I joined here in the first place.
