Ive been told that is crap...MIM wasnt THAT crazy....And MIM from what I have heard was a mostly female and black affair (though still mostly alienated people in acedemia!)...There is a whole different feel to MSH.

It wasn't as crazy as the MTW's, but these were members that felt MIM's ideology needed to "progress". And so emerged the MTW's.

MIM is partly responsible for pushing me over the line to become a communist, so I have a bit of a soft spot for them. I didn't know Maoism from anything else; I just remember stumbling across their old etext.org site and reading some powerful arguments that helped to turn me. I didn't declare myself a Maoist because I've never been the type to model myself on my teachers, but the basic arguments in favor of communism were convincing and valuable. All the alleged kookery and infighting never even crossed my radar. If it had, then I'd have ignored it anyway because I'm not interested in that sort of drama.

To be fair, BP is the most reasonable market-anarchist I've ever encountered, with the possible exceptions of Kevin Carson and Shawn Wilbur, but he's still no leftist (the "alliance of the libertarian left," of which he is a member, is a gathering of market-anarchist variants).

LM0X just irks me because he's so adamant in his rejection of the LTV and thinks it's possible to spin his marginalist/subjectivist nonsense in a positive direction. He seems like a well-meaning guy though.

Anyway I was kidding about deleting them. It's your channel, you should recommend whoever you want. Definitely check out brendanmcooney, though; his is easily the best channel on YT.

mr1001nights and buddhagem are both good anarcho-syndicalists, firmly in the social camp, with lots of good anti-capitalist vids between them, as I'm sure you know. (mr1001nights's nickname, used by BP and others in his circle, is "mr1001bolsheviks," which ought to tell people where he stands.)
