It's an idea that I have very un-creatively named Ultra-Secularism. Basically, the concept is to not necessarily care whether or not there exists a theistic being or not; religion brings to us only set-backs. It increases hostility towards certain groups and homophobia which destroys class unity. Religion has never brought a medical advancement, which seems to show logical fallacy in the notion that Godly beings exist that can cure us (much in the same way that 'praying' has no effect on major, or even minor issues). The existence of religious diversity has brought to us a host of conflicts ranging from the old Crusades, to which hunts, to the Holocaust, etc. Religions even promote anti-feminism and demand you mold your lifestyle in accordance to the ways of Theism, that is, the religions alienate you from your own uniqueness (you aren't your true self). Basically the notion that I am neither Atheist nor Creationist, but more along the lines of why should we care if it brings to us only drawbacks. I'd like to know if I am 1. not the only one and 2. if there is a name for this.
