Wow, has anyone seen Donnie Darko. I saw it two nights ago and thought it was amazing. What do you guys think?

I saw it ages ago, I didn't think it was amazing in the slightest, just wierd and obscure. What was so good about it?

I love that movie, but I think after seeing it I tried to make too much sense of what was obviously just a jumbled story.

I should probably see it again before commenting on it, but I think there was a lot of poking fun (if I can remember it properly) at the Christian evangelical crap.

Well now it's time for me to Chut Up (get it!?).

It's a damn good movie.

It took me a couple times of seeing it to really realize what was up with it. At the time I first saw it I was kind of going nuts, and I think it touched me a little too deeply.

If you watched the movie you should check out the site. You should pick up more, if you haven't watched the movie go on the site, it won't give anything away and will confuse the shit out of you.

CIKI I think the aim was to make some sort of cult movie. So some will love others will be confused, apparently it is if you didn't understand it..I dunno.

I liked it for the silliness, good 'ol Frank (demonic rabbit) and the weirdness, and the twist.

But I thought it was stupid with the Christian connotations, e.g. 'time travel within God's laws', "I'm not an atheist am I?", etc

Has anyone seen the DVD? I saw the deleted scenes and I found out that one, the psychiatrist called Donnie an agnostic, and two, the pills Donnie was taking were placebos!

Thank your brother for the used condom! :o

I did like how twisted it was. I did only see it once though and I don't recall any deep meaning but I should see it again. I think the movie made some good points. If only I could remember what happened...

It seems to me that the film was just trying to be obscure for the sake of being obscure.

Stupid!

I enjoyed watching it, but it was just a bunch of wierd shit, nothing meaningful at all.
But everyone can take different meanings from films, however I appreciate ones which actually represent something.
