I hate to say it, but most of RevLeft is English-speaking. The language of the Imperialists is incidental and not related directly to Imperialism.

That being said, I do agree that there is a lot of tasteless music that people here listen to, but to be fair not everyone listens to music for its ideological content. Some people just listen to music because they like the way it sounds.

Personally, I'm not of that variety. So long as no one would intend to make some Slipknot song the national anthem of a new revolutionary society, I don't think we'll have too many problems. Mostly people just listen to what sounds appealing to them personally, which is determined by what they hear growing up. Still, I would like to see a little more appreciation for traditional songs of the Revolutionary Left around here.

we all must know that First of all the english language is the language of our ideological enemies .. and only than the language of Shekspire and Frost ... English is my first language. I was born and raised in an English-speaking country. Yet I am not an ideological enemy; I'm a Socialist and proud to be one, but when I write and speak I do so in English. There are many proud Socialists and Communists among English speakers and speaking the language has nothing to do with ideology. It's a regional coincidence.

Lenin, for example, learned English late in life and while he never grasped it fully he constantly strove to understand it more completely. He understood that it was necessary from his position to understand as many languages as well as possible.

Language is just something we learn growing up to communicate in a uniform and effective manner. The phonetics and form of language have no bearing on whether a person or society is bourgeois or proletarian, Imperialist or Socialist, Capitalist or Communist. Again, the language is incidental; someone who speaks Russian has just as good of a chance of becoming a good Communist as he does of becoming a bourgeois supporter of United Russia. It's about philosophy, politics and policy, not vernacular learned through upbringing.
