The trouble is that main Trotskyite group in England do actually lick up to Islamic groups who's politics are basically an Islamic version of Roman Catholic Third Positionism. Political Islam does pose a threat to working class immigrants in housing estates in the "UK" and France by not only dividing from "native" people in the same social position but also taking them away from a proper focus on real social issues into a cross-class "clash of civilizations" nonsense. I know a lot of people here who stupidly support the Taliban because they are against Imperialism. In the arguments between "Anti-Imperialism" and "Anti-Nationalism" a lot of people have forgoten the distinction that Huey Newton drew between reactionary and revolutionary nationalism in his own oppressed nation. I wish "Anti-Imperialists" would think about that a lot more rather than chasing after anyone prepared to throw a bomb at the Brits or the Yanks.
