This thread is mainly directed at anarchists and marxists; would you advocate a system of geolibertarianism as a system of land use in a stateless economy? Or would you be opposed to the idea of renting land. What would be the merits and deficiencies of such a system?

Public ownership of land is no doubt an important part of any maturing socialist economy. Some system of rents or use-fees for the productive use of land is not necessarily a bad idea either. Functionally, it's not much different from taxation.

No, I am absolutely against it. The Earth was around way before humans inhabited it. I believe that any society that calls itself civilized would not allow one person, family, community, population,or civilization to own or rent any land. It is ours to share.

I am against it. The Earth should not be a commodity.

...geolibertarians recognize a right to secure possession of land (land tenure)...

I would think the right to a secure and comfortable lifestyle would be more important.
