I was recently restricted by Fuser9 for a post I made in chit chat. My post was meant to be a parody of Maoism Third Worldism.I jokingly asked to be restricted. I didn't mean this at all. I felt I put subtle and not so subtle hints in my posts that I was joking.
MTW is very remote from the way I actually feel. I'm a Marxist, I regard myself as a revolutionary and I am a member of a Trotskyist organization. I vehemently oppose homophobia and transphobia. I oppose imperialism and of course capitalism in general. I do not agree with Third Worldism.
My post was mocking a tendency which already is restricted. I am far from the only person who has done something like this. I did get the idea for my post from another user who asked to be restricted. I was perhaps gently poking fun at the user but no offense at all was intended. I do have a smart ass sarcastic sense of humor and at times it has gotten me in trouble. Again I did not mean to offend anyone.
I understand that Fuser9 wants to bring chit chat to a higher standard. There recently have been many threads which have been inane-"say something about the person above you", "insult the person above you", etc. Perhaps my post was a bit outlandish but I don't think it was too far from many other posts in chit chat.
So, could I be unrestricted, pretty please?
