Are they actually any good? I recall Robert Christgau saying that Obama getting elected basically neutered Boots.

Some songs are okay, but I cant stand Morello's guitarwankery fucking some songs up.
Christgau is wrong btw. Boots is in no way pro-Obama and Obama aint doing shit different so why would Boots have no more fuel?

Definitely! I would say, if you liked Rage Against the Machine & if you liked The Coup, then you'll definitely like these guys. :)

I think lots of people like The Coup and SSSC because of the politics... Boots doesn't even have that good of a flow or lyricism IMO.

The best idea he's ever had was at the end of The Coup's "Breathing Apparatus" when the doctor says "Looks like he's lost his will to pay" and he flatlines.

Boots rules, I love the Coup. As a note, I've barely read lyrics by The Coup.
