View Full Version : Want to join a militant anti-fascist group

Hi,
as you can tell from my title I would like to join a militant anti-fascist group (or something very similiar) in Scotland.
Before I go any further let me describe myself as I am new here. I am an ex-infantry soldier with 5 years experience. I am fit and healthy and I want to participate actively against these fascists that seem to be rapidly increasing these days.
Sorry if anyone has taken offence as I know not everyone is accustomed to this way.
If any of you can point me in the right direction or are part of such a group please contact me
thanks for your time

Loads of reasons but I want to deter them. Make them realise that if they want to do what they do there is some people out there that will make it hard for them.

Left down corner of your pc monitor, the colorful flag, left click, on the bottom right of the new window click the arrow, and then from the list click shut down
If you go search for yourself, it will help you a lot more than anything we can do in here.:)

Join a Communist group and work to overthrow capitalism rather than aiming yourself at only one form of capitalist barbarism, which has been routinely trotted out in the face of the proletariat to justify the defence of another form of capitalist barbarism, 'democracy'.

We didnt say that you shouldnt be posting or reading here, we just said that if you want to join a group, especially a militant antifascist one, internet isnt the place.

yes this. the way to find groups is to go and meet people. mention you are interested in anti facsism. then you can perhaps meet more people. part of not organizing random people on internet is security. why should scotland people give you (who could be a cop for allt hey knwo) the key contacts for whatever group? no. instead demonstrate to them that you actually have the commitment and theoretcial basis. (sorry if this sound patranising. but security culture is a necessary thing for revolutionary or violent (such as anti-fa) groups.)

Anti-fa groups seem to popping up around Europe, so do some research into that. I'm sure if you e-mailed the Socialist Workers Party (UK) they might be able to put you on the right track. Also if you anyone who regularly Black Bloc's, they usually know where to go. Hope this helps.

Considering there history of working closely with the UAF, which has a history of handing antifa members over to the cops, I doubt it.

In regards to OP, im not sure who or which groups you are refering to when you say fascists, but the Glasgow and Edinburgh Anti-Fascist Alliances could be a good point of contact as they have done some pretty successful campaigns against the EDL/SDL, and i would assume from their name are active against the likes of the BNP/NF ect.

Your heart is probably in the right place, but publicly saying that you want to kick the shit out of fascists is probably not a good idea :thumbup1:

Why don't you try just go to a fascist rally where you know there is a counter-protest going on? You should meet some militant anti-fascists there!
And good for you fighting those scum! :thumbup1:

This, just don't bother with the UAF/SWP. They don't actually make a huge impact anyway, I suggest you just attend demos against fascists, and find them for yourself.
Internet is just so easy for inflitration, it would put you at great risk.
