Any collaboration with Soviet Russia was a direct result of the NAZI regime.
It is better to out flank an enemy on a two-sided front than not at all.
As both sides engaged with Germany and encapsulated them, a new icy front
opened, this front became known as the COLD WAR. Most reciprocal collation with the Soviets ended promptly as east and west clashed. This new front encircled most walks of life namely in continental Europe. Russian spies did manage to steal the superior technology RB 199 TURBO UNION, probably using an umbrella, which allowed for the construction of the Mig fighter jet.

UK - Soviet relations during the 20th century was extremely low, especially as more and more armaments found their way into Ireland, Indonesia, SWA, SEA, lest we forget - Cuba, notably an upgraded variant of the AK entered Libya and Egypt during the 1970s, this was followed by a series of engagements threatening to F-14 TOMCATS. Concluding this statement it is also noted that the onset of WW1 relations was part and parcel of the geopolitical climate at the time that involved colonial and naval tensions (in the Mediterranean) between those two European power bases, more commonly know as THE CAUSES OF WORLD WAR I. It is in the past that we have not always enjoyed a succinctly joint relationship with Russia and is why British involvement in the COLD WAR had to be Iron strong.

Today however, the European Union has developed integration for Europe, it was only later that Eastern European countries joined and have benefited in both trade and politics. Even though without Russia there remain those cross-cultural issues left over from those cold war relics, and have created such a vacuum that its intermixture has ensured more cohesion in order to secure Europe. It has included even the small timer; those guys that didn’t make it with their punk band, or maybe the author whose book just couldn’t be published. It could mean a couple of them return to Kiev from France with a bucket load of stolen USB devices, perhaps a boot filled with Laptops, or maybe some poor dudes basketball cards, including the Larry Bird gold edition. Either way these sorts of reasons are not going to interfere with British – Russian relations in what we hope will be a more stable and resourceful European Community, contrary to what others might be led to believe.

So why can't we be stable.

People need stability. Security, and a descent spin on their lives.
