I think if a coalition of left parties in the United States becomes prominent enough in its organization, capitalizing on this situation and attempting to acquire empty living spaces and factory workplaces for models of worker autonomy would be a great place to build an ideologically motivated movement, aid a troubled working class, and promote the concept of proletarian democracy in broader society. This is a pure example of how capitalism holds production back, wasting tons of productive power and denying labor the right to express itself.
