Man....you people ever just get....beat down with the burden that is awareness? The more i read and understand, the more i consider and deliberate, the more i just stop giving a shit some days. The weight of certain issues in this world is so fucking heavy....somedays are better than others....but days like today, i just barely have the energy to want to know. Ignorance is bliss right? i refute this with everything in me, but surely awareness need not be so vexing. anyone relate to this sentiment?

Like, do you mean you get stressed by capitalism? I think that happens to most people.

I think everyone is an asshole, and that gets me down sometimes...
Of course, there are a few bright lights out there.
Somehow RevLeft is one of them...
Speaking of which, I had my first dream about RevLeft a few weeks ago...

At some point, to be honest, you may reach an acceptance that this is the status quo and it sucks; which is why you are pro-revolution.

However, you stop caring or being as emotionally invested as you used to be (somewhat, I still find nuclear warfare to be very horrific). Than you just try to begin to enjoy the little pleasures in life yet always remembering that the status quo sucks.

At times I find it very difficult to listen to or watch any mainstream news broadcasts, both for the bad things happening but also for the pro-capitalist propaganda twists and unquestioned assumptions constantly spouted.

I've actually had dreams about RevLeft myself. It happens if I'm online late at night. Scary. Not the dreams themselves-they're sort of about blocks of text becoming real people and are kind of enjoyable, but the fact that I'm actually dreaming about an Internet forum.

Yes. The world after capitalism seems so bright, but the weight of trying to revolutionize everyone seems so overwhelming.

Enlightenment in a nutshell

I used to be like that... I'd stress myself out thinking about the immensity of the problems facing the world, then be depressed about it for days. Honesty though, you've just got to learn to be an optimist. Whenever you're down in the dumps just listen to some happy music and think of all the great things that have gone on/are going on in spite of capitalism :thumbup1:
