Art can depict the most joyus of events, and the most trying of times.

It can be bright, or dark, or abstract.

It can envoke pitty, despair but it can also envoke hope.

A blank canvas of brick walls and steel shutters, can make workers walking home think about society, A stencil and a spray can can produce art that can relate and show support to the teenagers and old folks who live on the run down council estate.

Symbols can be erected, to spread a cause, to get our voice out, where the media cannot slander it.

Art has become the pleasure of the wealthy and the toffs, Art is valued by what some old fart thinks its worth, but Van G or Monnet do not paint things that the people can relate to and enjoy, we can of course be told these are amazing examples of art, but most of us do not think so.

Do you think street art is a good way to raise consciousness and get the youth to engage?
