...Comment section is so fucking right-wing? I'm reading a story about them raising the price of mcdonalds in Haight Ashbury which sustains many homeless people, and all the comments are saying "maybe they should raise it to 5 dollars" and other cruel shit.
I thought SF was the city of liberal values? :(

What a bummer! For the bums, at least. I think I'll go get a couple of Big Macs and celebrate free enterprise.

SF chronicle = center-right
SJ mercury news = center-left
ironic because SF is considered more "liberal" than SJ but yeah..

To annoy me since it is the only international newspaper we get here.
I tried reading it a few times, my head almost exploded from the influx of sheer stupidity.

Anyway there isn't really a news comment section in the world that isn't full of bloviating right-wing dickcycles screeching on and on in a brely lucid manner about their usual bullshit. If you drew conclusions about the political state of the world from what these empty-headed bellpieces write you'd probably kill yourself, even though they're mostly the same five people sitting in front of a computer, under a bare light bulb with their keyboard under on hand and a crusty old sock in the other screaming about immigrants to a world that doesn't care.

To me, the Mail is the pretty much the English NY Post (something I also have to deliver:(). Which means it is utterly shit. I'd rather wipe my ass with them than read it. If the Star is worse, then I don't want to read the degenerates you allow in your newspapers.

The Star is a tabloid: you can't really compare that with newspapers such as the in-between Daily Mail or broadsheets like the New York Times.

Well it's just that the rest of America calls it the most "leftwing paper in the most leftwing city in America" (using their bourgeois definition of left, btw) and it just was confusing me until Jazzrat reminded me that pretty much any comment section on any newspaper's website is dominated by the far-right.

No shit that's because right-wingers are fucking trolls, just look at the Tea Party protests it's like all the people on 4chan decided to do what they do on the internet but on the streets. Plus, Liberalism is a bourgeois ideology although Modern American Liberalism is more a moderate and sugar coated version of Socialism.
