According to American conservatives Leon Trotsky invented the word racist and to them that means any allegations of racism are now debunked because it was created by a commie and commies are bad (there twisted logic amuses me). Also, to them Leon Trotsky was one of the "mass murderers" who was leader of the Soviet Union (even though he was exiled). This is supposed to be a conservatives refutation of racist allegations? How does that debate go?
-Rational person: "That's racist"
-Conservative: "THAT WORD WAS INVENTED BY A COMMIE! THEREFORE, THAT'S AN EVIL WORD MEANT FOR MANIPULATION BECAUSE IT WAS MADE BY A COMMIE!"
-Rational Person: "You're trying to avoid the fact that you made a racist comment"
-Conservative "LALALALA! COMMIE! COMMIE!"
What shocks me the most is the conservative writer of the article's attitude towards the word "racism", that it is a word used by liberals meant to fear monger. Yeah I guess calling those Jim Crow laws and racial segregations racist was just fear mongering and manipulation.
:trotski:
NOTE: I was going to give the link to the article that says this all but for some reason they wont let me because I don't have 25 posts, for a leftist website there sure is a lot of hierarchy. Just google New Right America and Leon Trotsky invented the word racist.

heh. they even transliterated it wrong. it's Rasistov, not racistov. racistov would be pronounced "ratsistov."
still, ridiculous logic is ridiculous.

Well, thanks for that link. If the term "racist" was invented by a communist, the entire concept must be really dumb and flat-out wrong. It's just a silly weapon to attack America.
Although the crafty liberals at dictionary.com are either consciously duplicitous or at least seriously misinformed -- they're telling us it was invented by Frenchmen in the mid-19th century:
rac·ism
–noun 1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/discrimination).
3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
Origin:
1865–70; < F racisme. See race (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/race)2 , -ism (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/-ism)

lol Conservatives.
Trying to discredit the left every way they possibly can and failing at it.
I wouldn't be surprised if they reported this on Fox News.

The level of sheer idiocy on the right amazes me sometimes.

Reading the rest of this blog has actually made a bit of my brain melt.
As we've discussed previously on this blog, the Left, those impeccable purveyors of Enlightenment rationality and objectivity, suffer from a striking epistimological paradox: while claiming a monopoly on the overwrought ideals of 1789, it is impossible for them to rationally comprehend and acknowledge any views that deviate even slightly from their own. This brings to them to a second, even stranger paradox, that being the immediate dismissal of those views to the bleachers of irrationality (which these days is called bigotry).
Its impossible for us to recognise views that deviate slightly from our own, but anyone calling him a racist is using a word invented by a communist and therefore hates america and freedom and liberty.
Never mind the fact the left is entirely made up of people with slightly differing views.
I call shennanigans, he absolutely cannot be serious, it has to be a troll. PLEASE let it be a troll :/

I hope they keep this up. Because frankly, this is the best advertising we could hope for. I know if I were a milquetoast liberal, I might think maybe the commies have a point if they get conservatives into such a twitter.

The word "racism" first appears in English, apparently, in the early1930s (doubtless though Trotskyist infection) and "racist" a few years later. However, prior to that, there was a perfectly good term, used in England, "racialist," which I heard used there in the 1960s. I don't know if "racialist" was used in the US.

What do you expect from Conservatives? They run at any sign of debate, and will find things to try and undermine your side of the argument, e.g: this.

Who invented the ideology of racism? It certainly wasn't Trotsky.
