Best MP3 player?

I'm talking about best MP3 player in terms of sound quality and ability to pirate music.
I used to have a Creative Zen, which I loved because it was completely open for files and the sound quality was great... but I ended up breaking it... and got talked into buying an ipod touch for half price. FUUUCK IPODS.

So the reason I'm asking this is because I might be looking up a new MP3 player soon and I'd like some suggestions.

I have a Sony Walkman E-series. I like it. The sound quality seems fine to me. The controls are easy and intuitive. Loading music is just a matter of dragging and dropping music files into the Music directory on the device. You can put whatever else you want on the device for file storage as well as view photos and videos. I've never used any of those functions.

On the downside, it doesn't support ogg or flac formats, but I've never had problems with other files. There is also a 1.5 second or so scan for new files when doing a cold boot. The device uses MTP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_Transfer_Protocol) which could be a problem with some minimalist linux distros and perhaps OS X.

Meh...I didn't actually buy mine. And personally I don't really have a problem with Apple or it's software, at least not in regards to the iPod.

Lots of mp3 players hold a lo of files and solitaire is overrated. Bring a deck of cards with you and you can play poker, go fish, and a trillion other games.

Mp3 players have been able to play videos for years, other mp3 players have scroll wheels, mp3 cameras are the shittiest idea I have ever heard of in my entire life. It wasn't until recently phones could take semi-not shitty pictures and now we are getting that shit smashed into already sub-par mp3 players? I give up. Fuck it I am done with technology. Ipod Touch is actually damn good, it the best out there for youtube streaming and it gives you ton of apps. Also many website give you Ipod Touch alternate download.

but Nano and shuffle definitely sucks, nobody should buy em at all.

I would never get an iPhone, but the iPod Touch (or iTouch, as I, and everyone else, should call it) is something I've knod of wanted, if only because of all the apps.

I want something with godly sound quality (and dont tell me that ipods have even decent sound quality, because that's a shitstorm of bullshit) and that's easily piratable; where you can simple drag and drop files into it for use.

In my opinion iPods are pretty good, simply because of their ability to hold a massive deal of data, music, videos etc.
I only use my iPod classic for music, because I'm big on my music and have filled my iPod, which is kinda annoying, filling an 80g iPod...
That's the only reason I would choose an iPod over an mp3 player because of the size. The sound quality of iPods is pretty poor to be honest.
But people that obsess about Apple and all their products frustrate me so much, this one guy has everything. Even brings his iPad to class... I just want to stomp on it!
