Publicly humiliate two teenage girls and you wonder why things like this happen? And then they have the sheer cheek to actually televise it. It's absolutely disgraceful in my opinion, and it won't be long before someone ends up seriously hurt, or worse.

Got to be honest, they are looking for fame, and are just proper talentless, at singing, and kinda seem mentally deranged, i kinda laughed.
Seriously, if your that shit at singing, and go on live TV, you dont really deserve to live do you :)
I cant watch anymore of it, its making me cringe.

They're fucking idiots  also of note, why does everyone in America think British accents are classy? don't they ever watch shit like this to have a change in mind? lol I just don't see whats likeable about the British accent (then again, I can't see much likability in the American one either--I like the South African one the most)

I watched the first half of that and it was excruciating. Those girls made two major mistakes that I could see; they come on stage and by their words it was obvious they had little clue what their act would be, and worse, they told the audience to fuck off! Way to win friends and influence people, there.

Stephen Fry's accent is like hot butter to my ears, a velvety beauty seeping down my back, like a tasty honey being spread upon my mouth as I lick it, I let it slip down onto my face, it gentle vibrations and harmony ring wonderfully inside my head, I cry out and moan for more, but no...the next season of QI wont be out for some time..

So you get two deluded girls looking for a chance to make something of their lives and as they fail you humiliate them, spark a fight, then stick it on national TV? canny one that. Are you all aware of the people who have ended up in severe depression from some of these reality TV shows, it's a joke.
Why couldn't Cowell say sorry girls you're not good enough, thanks for trying? Why couldn't they show the good singers, yano, the ones the show looks for rather than two girls embarrass themselves?

Exactly. Those girls set themselves up for a very public humiliation through their unrealistic expectations and almost total lack of planning.
Plus they were shit, and too deluded to notice.

Perhaps Americans like Brithish accents because the only ones portrayed in films tend to be the nice ones. You don't tend to get many film stars with Birmingham accents (that's the accent that grates on me the most).

Seconded. Of course, Italian-Americans from the NY/NJ area are pretty beligerent and have a rather course sense of humor, but I'm the same way. Perhaps that has something to do with it. I also have a soft spot for a Boston accent, but that probably has more to do with the fact I have a bunch of family in that area.
At any rate, I agree with the other respondents... I don't think it was the lack of talent that made the crowd react the way they did. It was the girl on the right's attitude from the moment they walked onto the stage.

Anglo-French accents are the best, with every 'h' dropped artfully.
