The political scene in Australia continues where Julia Guillard the leader of the labor party is trying her best to form a labor minority government with one green MP by her side and by vote count is leading the opposition. Another 3 independents are still undecided in which party they would vote for which will be decided on the weekend. The Coalition, Liberal/National Party are trailing.

Labor has always been opposed same sex marriages. Julia Guillard even before she took the green MP on her side opposed gay marriages. The media indicated that if she had reversed her belief most Labor MPs would have been 'Furious'. Hypocrtical as politicians always are, she said she would never make a compromise on her values i guess she did (well had to if she wanted to hold on to power lol).

Meanwhile, the former Primeminister of Australia, John Howard of the Liberal Party who had the reigns of power for 12 years, made a speech, saying, since Labor has properly aligned itself with the 'environmentalist' it is moving 'dangerously left' lol !

Thus " Australia's Labor party is moving dangerously left " .. an understatement :thumbup1:

I don't get it...how is the Labor Party moving left when this Julia Gillard is leader, and she opposes gay marriage and immigration and supports the Afghan war. She sounds like a typical conservative that the Australian Labor Party would produce. she even talks about Australia's "Christian heritage".

and if the Greens are making deals with Labor it only shows how rightward they might be shifting. They seem to only care if Gillard does some environmental things (or false promises of such things) but nothing else.

It becomes clear that the only progress will come by supporting the socialist parties. Hopefully Australians will begin to see that.
