What are peoples thoughts on dimethyltryptamine? Has anyone ever had any experiences with it (apart from REM sleep)? I researched about it after watching Waking Life (what with lucid dreams etc.) and I also find the concept of the "third eye" quite fascinating. I think dreams are fascinating. From what I gathered...

When smoked it creates a short trip that is perhaps the most "mind-blowing" compared to others in its class. I heard of people speak of being in an alternate world that seemed alien and seeing "alien" (it doesn't look like traditional aliens, but you feel like it's not normal or from here) kind of stuff (I guess when they close their eyes). In that sense it reminds me of some reports I read and heard about of Salvia. Also, there's a "trick" to smoking it (you have to do it a certain way and hold in the fumes longer).

You can also get DMT via Ayahuasca yet since it's digested into the stomach I expect a longer trip duration and perhaps some difference.
