Ok, have decided to put this here as it has been bugging me a little.
Bit of a story for a none event but want a bit of advice from peeps.
My partner is spanish, every year we go to her village (well her grandparents village) for their summer festival and so on. Whilst all of her/our friends there are centre leftists/liberal/anti racists ect, on our last visit I was informed that some of a younger group (in their early 20's) are openly neo nazi. Apparently one was even wearing a celtic cross tshirt. My partner and her friends only told me about this after we left the village (maybe to stop me going off on one) and whilst they are very distressed by things they seem to prefer just live and let live, its a very small village only 50 people so i guess they dont want to start a huge fight between the residents.
Anyway, i am not spanish, speak very little spanish and although am very welcomed there, it is not my community so rationally am a little concerened about going in there and preaching or confronting these people and not sure if it could/would address anything.
Any thoughts/advice

Personally I would avoid confrontation. If a stranger comes into a village and starts a confrontation with a local lad due to his political beliefs I doubt you'll get much sympathy from locals or the Spanish courts for that matter. However if they confront you make sure you can outnumber them, and aim for the head and the bollocks.

Haa haa, when i say confrontation, i dont explictly mean kicking it off with them. If it did come to that, yes there would be a bit of sympathy on my behalf, a few of the older generation in this village and the next are anticapitlists/militant antifacists that were imprissoned under franco. Even both the village residents who are guardia civil and a military careerist (although by no means commies) are strongly opposed to facism (a shock but yes it exists ;)). However there is alot of division in the area on these matters (as one friend said there are invisible barricades) and the general appearence is most people just want to keep the peace.
Edit, my politics are very out in the open, they probaly know im an anti facist so it seems they want to keep the peace aswell.

Keep the peace as long as they don't do anything, keep an eye on em though.

If you get in trouble be sure to contact spanish antifa militants. Antifa is currently pretty strong in Spain. Google the nearest antifascist coordination.
