That's the only thing I could come up with for a title. I sincerely apologize. ;)
Anyways, thank heaven I found this forum. This place is something special, an island of sorts where I can break away from the troubles of living as a Senior in High School and actually talk to likeminded people.
I don't know how to really define my political ideology so I'm here to learn.
I've been involved with my church to the point that I was actually invited to go on a mission's trip to Cameroon, Africa. While I was there to teach students about God, I was more focused on the actual plight of their situation. How guilty I felt seeing them live in their small homes with tin roofs. How much wealth did I have compared to them? All the times I had simply taken what I had for granted, it simply wasn't right. I started to read a lot about colonialism and what it had done to the native peoples. I began to see the connections between Capitalism and colonialism, and then realized that the two were one in the same.
So I'm here, someone who doesn't break into all the smaller categories of Socialism but nonetheless call myself a Socialist.
Hope that I can be molded and in turn mold.
