As mentioned, theres been a lot of funny/rediculious/useless threads in chit chat lately, some of them due to me (including all of the "person above you" threads).

So, lets talk serious, anything on anyones mind they wanna talk about? Any philosophical nonsense they wish to voice without the bordem inducing philosophical forum getting in the way? Seen a film that blew your mind? problems in bed?

I really like Braveheart, the movie. Although it's full of historical impossibilities, it was really inspiring, and the music was great.

Yeah, this section is for talking about bullshit and ranting, I don't know why we have to make ourselves look like lonely nerds by talking about theory everywhere; that's what the main forum is for.

fuck yeah i got something i wanna talk about. personal hygeine. It's important, and those who think otherwise should not be allowed to funk out and disturb the relative comfort of others within their general vicinity, let alone work with others directly in cramped environs performing physical labor. It wears on my last nerve constantly to the extent that i am losing patience with an individual who has this problem....rather, whose problem is quickly becoming MY problem.
Look, everybody farts, and i'm ok with that. It smells like shit for about a minute and sometimes can be funny if it's mildly embarassing for the person who farted. It goes away, or i get used to it, and that's about it. Everybody has some small thing that not everyone is gonna agree with, be ok with, or approve of, but that's life. BUT smelling so bad all day every day that it becomes the topic of conversation among peers, is just inconsiderate.

As if the smell of 'hygiene products' is any better.

So you talk about useless threads you've been making, and then essentially recreate a carbon copy of the 'say what you want thread' under the guise that this one is supposedly 'serious'?

Honestly, just stop posting, for fuck's sake. I should probably stop going to chit-chat so I don't have to sift through this crap, but still.

I am borderline on making a request for stricter chit-chat moderation. It has gotten way out of control the past few days. Not that I want to spoil people's fun, I just don't want this to be 4chan. :/

discussions already happen.

when someone consciously tries to make the whole section serious then it invites shit like what i posted.

Chit-chat generally invites bullshit because sometimes posting BS is fun.

If given the choice between sitting next to someone who hardly washes, or next to someone who goes a bit heavy on the deodorant/perfume, I'd go for the chemically-scented option every time. Unless they spray ethanethiol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethanethiol) on themselves or something.
