I'd love to own a sitar man.

I play guitar, bass, drums (basic) and a little bit of piano.

I own one of these (Fender Squire Jazz; basically a cheap-production version of the classic Fender Jazz), but I wouldn't say I can play it... I have it for quite some time now, but I slack way too much on practice.8

I've played Keyboard for about 2 or 3 years. On this sweetie (Casio CTK-671):

And I own a considerably damaged Acoustic Guitar, which my father picked up off bulky refuse, and which I restrung and fixed a little. Can't play on it though, but it looks nice and hippy'ish as there's a peace sign spray painted on it ;D

I definitely want to properly learn Bass and regular Guitar though. And Baritone Guitar. And maybe drums too.

I played drums for 5 years (Sonor 4-piece). I moved into an apartment last year, and gave my drums away to someone I knew (who lives 500 miles away). I fucking miss it like crazy (I air-drum everyday). I may save up and buy an electronic set. They aren't as good, but at least it will help me get my fix.

I mess around on whatever I can get my hands on really.

I mainly play guitar and slide guitar, if you count that as separate. I'm also not too bad at bass, piano/keyboards, and singing. I fuck around on the drums and with my banjo a lot, but I have yet to really get good at transferring the sounds in my head to actual music in regards to those two instruments. I also have random shit like a harmonica and an irish tin whistle which I like to make myself think I know how to play. Used to do it up on alto sax and violin, but I've pretty much lost everything in regards to those two.

And yeah, I wish I had a sitar, that's awesome. I really wanna try to get my hands on an oud too, those things are badass.

NOIS, playing music in an apartment can be really shitty, I totally know what you mean, I'm pretty glad I ain't a hardcore drummer.

As any good Chinese boy, I played piano for the formative years of my life. I don't really remember that much now though.

I mainly play bass, dabble in some drums. I really want to get into synths though

Hah! Same, sort of. I've been thinking about using my Keyboard as MIDI input for Ableton Live or FL Studio, but I never bothered to set it up since I suck with both Programs (as exemplified by the shitty songs I compose in FL Studio). I guess you're more talking about Hardware synths though.

i'm a drummer, but i play piano and guitar as well. I played in a death metal band in PA for like eight years. Did some records, played a lot of shows....but that seems like forever ago.

Whoever mentioned playing a sonor 4 piece and is thinking about getting an electronic kit: do it. I bought a roland TD-4 like a month ago after not being able to play drums for around two years and it is amazing. slap on your headphones and go into your own little world for awhile. I live in an apartment building as well, and my neighbors say they can't hear the sounds from me hitting the pads either, even when i'm shredding the double bass. it's awesome.

I REALLY REALLY want to learn to play a Khmer Srailai, which sounds like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tpYY8ER-nU

but I don't even know where to find one. They're near impossible to find or to buy unless you actually live in Cambodia.

I've attempted to play the guitar. I have a guitar right here with me.

Most classes for guitar I've taken are based on classical acoustic guitar.

I've played nylon-stringed guitars and metal-stringed ones.

This:
http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/pmtonline/media/pdp-805-white.jpg
PDP 805 (white, like this) w/ 24" bass drum and a 7" snare, also the largest tom is 18" across and 16" deep, so the whole kit is pretty fat - when I bought it was really into Bonham, but I kinda wish I got the 20" bass drum version now because my playing style has changed a lot (I still Bonham's groove; it's near-unrivaled, but I also love the funkiness in Purdie, Garibaldi, Modeliste etc.). Also, I use sabian hhx and hh cymbals. And I play the didgeridoo, but not so much anymore

I, like most people, can play a guitar, keyboard and blockflute all rather poorly. Probably bass, too, but I never got my hands on one.

Wanted to play guitar when I was young, my dad insisted that I learn piano because it is a "basis for other instruments" (?) and because "pianos are more common than guitars" (lol?). So I tried to learn piano in order to be allowed to learn guitar, but I sucked at it, mostly cause I wasn't interested in it. So when I was old enough to buy a guitar I was to bummed on musical instruments to really get into it, and couldn't afford lessons, which my parents wouldn't pay for since I "didn't commit to piano". I now have an acoustic guitar and screw around with it somethimes, reading tabs. I can also play part of ode to joy on piano.

But I also play (deep breath) violin, viola, cello, bass, double bass, a little piano, trumpet and clarinet (exhales).

I'm a halfway-decent guitarist. I prefer rhythm, but I'm a fair lead player if I have to be (I can do the 'wheedly wheedly' and tapping shit, but I prefer the standard 'blues box' stuff when I improvise solos).
