PSL - Party For Socialism and Liberation
mostly distributed their paper (Liberation!) and hel informal discussions with local workers in the city

RCP - Revolutionary Communist Party
not a big fan of this party mostly because it feels more like a Bob Avakian cult than a Communist party. most of my time with them was spent at anti-war rallies or distributing pamphlets and other literature, though i did get to meet a few party members when i was younger who really helped me understand the position of the communist movement in the US.

in addition to these parties, i've also worked with the New Communist Party of the Netherlands, where a dear comrade of mine is a local branch leader (one time they even invited me to a meeting where all the dialogue was held in English for my convenience... was very, very cool).

in Belgium i have worked with various anarchist groups, mostly squatters who were formerly involved with the communist party there.

at the moment, though, i'm more interested in the Second Republic of Vermont than any particular political organizations.

Wow you sure do have an adventurous political life =)
In europe american comunists are realy admired since the usa its considered one of the most difficult places to conduct a communist struggle due to the prejudice against communism and socialism created in the cold war era.

Btw , i checked the Second Republic of Vermont site , pretty interesting and complicate issue , secession is common also here in italy but more for cultural interests than for actual social/economical interest.

Do you visit the Netherlands often?

i have not been over-seas in several years, though i've been through France, Uk, Netherlands and Belgium several times. unfortunately, earlier this year i lost my passport.

to make up for that, of course, i've made my way through a good chunk of the States. don't really consider myself a citizen of any one of them in particular, but i'm in Vermont until the end of the year.

ideally there are some other communists up here that i can get together with and, like, you know, talk shop or whatever.

because i'm gonna be honest, i'm not a -huge- fan of this particular website. any dialogue i can be a part of off the web is kind of what i'm seeking.

I'm in central Vermont (for now, hopefully that will change soon). I'm a Trotskyist. There is another Vermonter on this forum who is (or was) a sympathizer of the RCP. Look on the Re-Intro thread.
