Amsterdam is a bit dead at the moment, the central squat bar (vrankrijk) got closed by the government and wont reopen for a while. The alternative venue occii is closed for renovations.
Go for sure to the international leftist bookshop fort van sjakoo (jodenbreestraat)
Ok bars are punkbar the minds (spuistraat) neighbourhood squat bars molli (ostadestraat) and Joe's garage (3e oosterparkstraat) and day cafe the bollox (schinkelstraat) .
