I read Redstar2000's High School Commie's Guide thread but I don't think what I'm thinking about has been covered.Would the capitalist's view of the poverty be influenced by the leader of the communists in, say Cuba?
I mean, people don't view Castro as a very good leader.
So the capitalists spread their views on Castro, and that leads to the view on the population's poverty?
Sorry if it has been answered, if so, I didn't spot it.
And sorry for the bold text, it just started doing that.

Under capitalism, poverty is seen as the fault of the poor, or inevitable. Under a communistic government, even though people live better than under an equally poor capitalist country, it is seen as the evil and foolishness of socialism and the people must not be free.

I don't understand the OP, maybe it could be worded better, but as we all know the source of Cuba's poverty is the US's crushing trade embargo, which has deprived them of much needed resources for development.

I see I could have worded it better.
Are the public's views (In capitalists countries) manipulated easily by the views of their politicians, against Fidel Castro( as an example.)?

Indeed they are. Why else do we hear so much more about Cuba's poverty in proportion to other countries'? Not only that, when they do talk about most other countries' poverty, they talk about it in a sympathetic tone, but when they talk about Cuba's, they do so in an outraged tone, almost always encouraging the Cuban people to overthrow their own government, which you'll NEVER hear them do with other countries.

Yeah and when you hear about Venezuela its only about big-bad Hugo Chavez shutting some TV station down.

Wow. I didn't know that about the Haiti earthquake, with the opening of airspace, and first to offer aid. Why the hell won't the Americans just accept the Cubans as communists? It's just an opposing ideology.
But seriously, the way the block out all the good thing Cuba's done is just a load of crap.:cursing:
