Ive been doing some volunteering and work with the workers at this plant and if anyone lives in Western New York and wants to help, I can pm you dates for events that the local union will be at.

It's sad to say, but you cannot, cannot, cannot take a union's press release for if it won the strike or not. You also cannot take the far left's statements, but the Mott strike had so many concessions that even the ISO had to point them out...oops, can't post links yet, check out the 17 Sept 2010 Socialist Worker online article on Motts for details.
(versus in the Boron strike they posted a "victory!" article and at least where honest enough to publish a dissenting letter showing how that was wrong, but they didn't take a stance on the letter, which I just cannot understand)

The strike could have ended extremely poorly for the workers and organized labour as a whole. The new contract seems to have compromises for both the union & Motts.
