I feelt a little bit boring today, so I read (again) my collection of the awesomest Donald/Scrooge Storywriter(and drawer) of all the times, Don Rosa.(Carl Barks has excellent stories too, but he can't rival against Rosa's drawings)

Even is Scrooge is the evilest Capitalist in the World(he has his good moments though), the stories are funny, entertaining and the details are awesome! A shame that Don Rosa doesn't write anymore.(and beside, well researched)

I was wondering if there are other Don Rosa supporters???

Ah and beside, can anyone recommand me a good Carl Barks story? found a free online read site(for carl barks and don rosas stories), and observed that I didnt read much of Barks stories i want to make up. Thanks

His illustrations were definitely some of the better, as far as the artists who drew Scrooge went. Very richly detailed illustrations, especially in his (amazing) series on Scrooge's life ("The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck"). I have the entire set of those comics from when I was 11 or 12, and they're incredible.

Don Rosa's comics are actually more enjoyable for adults than for kids. I love his drawings and his stories.

Yeah, I definitely enjoyed Don Rosa's work. Great style, with lots of attention to detail. On his Wikipedia page, there is an image that shows it pretty well:

Like ES, I bought the whole Life and Times series when I was a kid. Every time a new book came out was a major highlight, because I couldn't afford to subscribe to the magazine that included the series originally.

"Lost in the Andes!" where the Ducks go to South America to look for square eggs.

"Only a Poor Old Man", a particularly good one among the many stories about the Beagle Boys trying to take Scrooge's money. This one introduced two typical Scrooge quotes, and explained a bit about his past:

Of course, you'll note that Don Rosa makes use of these glimpses of Scrooge's life in The Life and Times.

Anyway, more stories? I haven't read it yet, but I'd like to read the story "The Golden Helmet". Maybe you can link me to the site that has all the stories? I'd like to read it because Don Rosa made a sequel to it called The Lost Charts of Columbus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lost_Charts_of_Columbus), which I thought was an amazing story.

"Back to the Klondike", about Scrooge and the gold rush, obviously.

"Land Beneath the Ground".

"The Money Well", another story with the Beagle Boys.

"North of the Yukon", another Alaskan story.

That should keep you entertained for a while.

I remember that one. That's the one where Scrooge puts all his money in a lake, which prompts the Begal Boys to sabotage the dam to get his money. I also like the one where Scrooge finds the legendary Trojan Horse (which was sheathed in gold) at the bottom of the ocean.

His stories about Alaska are some of my favorite ones, specifically the one Rosa did about Mounties trying to arrest Scrooge which culminates in Dawson getting set on fire.

The one about the Trojan Horse was great as well. I remember being about 6 years old, and being allowed to buy the magazine "Donald Duck" once in a while. After a few months, one issue included the Trojan Horse story, which was the first Barks story that I ever read.

Would you happen to know the English name of this story, by any chance?

"Horsing Around With History", I think.

Yes, that's the one. Thanks! (a bit of a redundant post, but you can't give Thanks in Chit Chat...)
