ok so i have 3 classes all set up to be on mondays and wednesdays and im hoping to get a certain sociology class to make me a full time student.
but if i dont get that one then i wont be a full time student and thus lose out on a lot of aid money and there is almost not hope of me finding a job.
so, my plan of action as of right now is signing up for a class that is on tuesdays and thursdays.
there are a few open. and the ones i was looking at were economics classes.
"The Fundamentals of Economics"
im just curious, is this a good choice? its somewhat relevant to my interests even though its going to be dominated by bourgeois economics. almost all other classes relating to anthropology, sociology, history, humanities, and so on are full. hardly any classes are available.
please help.

what do they cover in "fundamentals of economics"? macro micro? Is it for nonmajors? Is it a lecture course? Why don't you try reading the textbook and seeing if it interests you.

i think its macro economics. i read reviews of two professors. both are apparently easy but they keep talking about macro economics. and i cant get a hold of a text book. lecture course and i dont believe they are major oriented.

micro imo is more useful. but if it's an easy grade go for it it will be better than living in penury witbout a courseload.

I don't know anything about economics, but I'd say it'd be a good idea, at least from the perspective of learning some viewpoints which challenge leftism. In this case, you'd be one step ahead of capitalist apologists, because you'd be familiar with some of their basic arguments, and have something to answer to those perspectives.
Obviously, Marx begins with the classical economists, so I can't see a problem with taking this course.

I dunno, bro. I took a macroeconomics lecture course once and left every day wanting to kill myself; not because of its capitalist orientation but because it was so ungodly fucking boring. Maybe it was the professor (the phrase "stock market" never came out of her mouth), but I doubt it. It was a lot of theoretical BS that I could never really get into. Perhaps a nice digital photography course, lulz.
