Does anyone listen to any decent bands that sing in French? I listen to 86 Crew and Hors Controle a lot, but if anyone has any recommendations of punk or ska bands that sing in French, I'd be grateful if you'd share them. I want tp improve my French and listening to music is a good way of almost subconsciously doing that :)

Exterio are pretty decent IMO

Vulgaires Machins too

They're both Quebecois (Canadian French) though. And may not be explicitly punk, but close enough.

Don't know how much you'd be into this stuff. Besides Alcest and (some) Amesoeurs, most of these bands are may be too fast/harsh/annoying for your taste. However, they are all french and I enjoy them. Just a heads up: Alcest's album "souvenirs d'un autre monde" is one of the most beautiful albums, ever.

Alcest
Amanda Woodward
Amesoeurs
Aussitot Mort
Belle Epoque
Daïtro
The Flying Worker
Mihai Edrisch
Sed Non Satiata
The Third Memory

The Douche

Brigada Flores Magon

i don't know if you like black metal, but peste noire is one of my favorite bands right now. cold, raw, medieval type shit.

Sixties French pop is up there with Krautrock, southern hip hop and Mahler for me (i.e. amazingly awesome).
