Does calling the Admissions office piss them off?

I applied to a university Masters program and it's been almost a month since I have heard back from them. The email they sent told me that I should recieve a response in two to four weeks. I know I am being really impatient but would it bother them at all if I call them to check the status of my application? Does that bother admissions reps and would it hinder my chances for acceptance?

I don't think that your chances have anything to do with the administration.
If I were you, I'd wait until let's say 5 days lapse from those 4 weeks that they designated. And then I'd call them up.
