I would hate my own kid even more. Kids tend to be even bigger asshole than their parents. And I am a complete dick.

I don't want kids. My dad's family's genetics are just too fucked up for me to continue this gene pool. Almost all of them are nuts and dysfunctional to the point of suicidal tendencies, family fighting, crime, drug use, and severe depression (the same goes for me). I don't want to put my kid through so much internal struggling.

I have had too many issues with family to want to bring kids into the world. Not as extreme as Uppercut's unfortunate circumstances, but my early adolescent years were shit and I don't like the idea of bringing a child into that kind of life.

This may change, depending on how my circumstances change, so I voted undecided.

My mom had a baby back in April.
She is seriously the most adorable little thing on the planet, and I do not use the word "adorable" lightly. The first 3 months are relatively easy, but when they start rolling around and squirming...good lord, she flung her own shit in my eye. It was all green and slimy... But seeing her smile and all that stuff makes it worth it...But I'm still undecided about it...
I really don't want my kids to be like me... Unless they're commies too. That'd be awesome.

I used to think the idea of having kids was terrible. Then I got used to being around them and seeing how happy they make their parents, so now I'm pretty open to the idea of having kids.

However, I'd most likely adopt, and I'd only do so when I feel I am financially stable enough to give them a decent life. I wouldn't want to have a kid just for the sake of having a kid and then making our (mine, my partner's, and my kid's) lives miserable because we're always strapped for cash.

I voted no, but I might change my mind in the future.

I'm worried I would screw them up or something, I'm pretty good with younger kids I s'ppose, but I don't know if I could raise them.

My cousin had a kid recently and he's the cutest goddamn kid in the world.

He'll waddle up and look at me and I'll be like "Sup kid. Want me to pick you up?". One time he said "No" and gave me this hard look like he was going to cave my fucking teeth in.

I let him play with my cousins ipod for being so hardcore.

I'm hoping to have kids be it just 1 or as many as 5 :p But ultimately my wife (or husband) will have the say as to whether or not we even have kids... as to being a single parent, I don't think I'd want to attempt it unless I ended up that way because of a death or a divorce.

Undecided. On the one hand I fucking hate children and would make a shite father anyway given that I'm long term unemployed, on the other hand however I've seen some of my friends who I'd have thought would make terrible parents undertake the responsibility [although I should note that my other observation from these friends is that human reproduction largely takes place by mistake] and if they can do it there is no earthly reason I shouldn't give it a shot.

I want a kid. I just found out a couple of hours ago that my girlfriend (of about a year) does as well. It actually came up during a discussion of our revolutionary work and internal party politics/organization.

For me, I find it simply amazing that I have the capability to make another person. Human life is so special and valuable, and a random guy like me has the ability to make it!? Wow! I wish I could make a whole bunch of them, but it's almost certainly better to just make one and do a really good job of raising him or her.

I think it will be a good thing for the world. Predisposition towards depression and substance abuse aside, when I look at my parents, my sister, and myself, I think we have pretty good genes that are worth carrying on. I'm also fairly confident that I could provide an excellent environment for my kid to develop into a productive, revolutionary, and deeply humane person.

I'm in my late 20's now. My girlfriend just turned 30. We both love each other. I hope we stay together. If that remains true, then I think we could consider starting to try to make a kid in the 3 to 7 year range. So, it's not an immediate goal, but I hope that we can develop the material conditions over time to make it possible.

Why is it, that everytime some mother tells a kid "not now", the kid starts screaming and yelling as if someone was mutilating their limbs with instruments of sheer terror? It just goes way beyond my capabilities to tolerate stupid bullshit.

leftace53
16th August 2010, 21:32
What irks me are those parents that let their child run amuk terrorizing people (some children bite!), and its frowned upon to tell someone else' child that its not right to bite people, then when when you tell the parent that their child was biting people, the parent goes bat shit defensive like "my child is an angel', and you're standing there with a can of pasta sauce thinking "wtf, this ***** is as crazy as her kid".

I want a girl who'll bear me 4 children. I want a large family, and I want to be a good father, and I want to find a girl who'll want to be a mother. I don't think I'd ever fall in love with a girl who wouldn't want to have children (just because wanting a family is such a large aspiration of mine).

If I was with a girl for a while and found out she was infertile, I would be crushed. I seriously wouldn't know what I'd do at that point, but I don't think I'd be able to continue, such is my want for my own children so. I'd hope she would do the same were I infertile.

I think I found that girl, and I hope there is a future regarding that, but we'll see.

Children disgust me and makes me angry. I'll never have children. I wish my parent's had not given birth to me, so I won't make the mistake of creating more diseased vermin.

Also babies are the most vile beasts imaginable. They're so disgusting. I can't stand them. I'm a nutter.

hurduhr I must have an womens with a working uterus so I can impregnate her with an army of childrins who look similar to my ugly self and will probably want to kill themselves when they grow up

...

I joke--the only thing that would make the idea of having children appealing to me is if they were born as eggs, and I could shoot them out of my own cloaca and they hatched into dinosaurs. This part isn't a joke.

You people are grossing me out.

If kids came out civilized and on a normal sleep schedule and old enough for me to give dating advice, I might have considered having kids someday, but with all the hell that my body would have to go through for a screaming drooling pile of whatever-a-baby's-made-of, I'm sticking with a no.

I totally approve. That's gold.
My girlfriends little sister, who is 3, is absolutely adorable. She clings to my leg when I come around, and insists on showing me all of her toys, and games, and makes me play them.
Just recently, we were koalas, and had to eat our koala food (which, it turns out, was spaghetti. Incase you didn't know, koala's love that shit) before koala play time.

It was bizarre, but she's cute.

She also regularly speaks to me in Russian. My Russian consists of "hello", "goodbye", "my name is XX", "how are you?","good", "yes" and "no".
Oh, and thank you.
But I don't often remember that one.
