It's fake. There were two "videos" of this. One shot in night which is in the original post, and another at day.

I remember seeing this a while ago and a Moscowvite pointed out two things

-In a crowded city like Moscow, why do we keep seeing the same two videos?
-More importantly, this video claims to have been shot that month, yet the daytime footage shows a building (Rossiya Hotel, in the posted video) that was demolished sometime ago.

This is the day time footage. The structure just below and to the left of the pyramid is the Rossiya Hotel. The Rossiya Hotel was demolished in 2006, yet this video that was said to have been recorded in December of 2009 still shows the hotel there.

An interesting observation. I guess the flip side to this is that there is nonethless a reactionary aspect to all this UFOlogy mularky. I know of individuals who have bought into the whole idea big time and there are a number of quasi religious sects around who look to the possibility of extraterrestrial aliens coming to "save humanity". Its less a case of the emancipation of the working class being the act of the working class itself than of a bunch of strange looking little fellows with oversized eyes (and brains to match) coming to do the job for us. Vanguardism with a new twist as it were. And that makes me deeply suspicious;)

Well, the problem with UFO advocates is that their ideas of how "extraterrestrials" should look like are extremely simplistic - in comparison with them even Star Trek or Babylon 5 "aliens" look quite convincing. UFO "aliens" are basically humans with different height, skin colour, etc. This itself sounds quite unimaginative and shows their poor fantasy, even in comparison with some "space opera" SF writers, for wouldn't it be more logical for the lifeforms from the Deep Space to look much more bizarre than simply "little green men"? And their quasi-religious thing about supposed "exodus" of ancestors of different human races from various star systems sounds pretty much racist for me, for it basically denies the idea of unity of mankind and may be used for xenophobic purposes. I bet the obsession of many Ufologists with the supposed ties of Nazi Germany with aliens and the frequent description of some of their fanciful "aliens" as humanoids resembling "Aryan" racial image - see Nordic aliens article from Wikipedia and especially this line from that article:

I think these two examples show quite straightforwardly that there is a substantial far right element in the "UFO movement".
