Statement of PBSP (MUG) [Proletarian Party of East Bengal-Maoist Unity Group] condemning the murder of Com. Azad and Com. Hem Pandey by the Indian state

We are deeply shocked at the news of murder of comrade Azad along with com. Hem Pandey by the Indian expansionist state. We express our anger and hatred against this monster that is not only killing Indian revolutionaries and masses but also Bangladeshi people in the border.

They must be punished for their crime!

Indian Maoists are our big inspiration who stood up in resistance when leaders of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) surrendered to imperialism.

Indian regime is that coward who tells lies and make false stories to hide their crime. So do their Bangladeshi junior partner. They don’t have the courage to say the truth.

Comrade Azad is a glorious son of India. We express our best sympathy to the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and the families of martyred comrades.

We need a direct coordination with Communist Party of India (Maoist).

We want a joint fight against the Indian and Bangladeshi state.

Long live Indian revolution!

Long live Bangladeshi revolution!

Polas, on behalf of the provisional leading body of the Maoist Unity Group of the

Proletarian Party of East Bengal, PBSP (MUG)/Bangladesh

so the Bangladeshi Maoists view the CPN(m) as revisionist? do the Indian Maoists share that opinion?

It's unclear on where their views are between the Indian Maoists & the Nepalese Maoists.

if they clearly call them revisionist, i dont know. but they critisized the nepalese very hard. you can read the "open letter to the ucpn m" in the magazine peoples march november 2009.

As you said, they simply criticized them in that letter. They didn't denounce them as revisionists.

The part about the UCPN(M) "surrendering to imperialism" was an unnecessary statement, but good to see they're expressing solidarity with the CPI(M).

It's worth pointing out that there are about a million Maoist groups in Bangladesh, PBSP-MUG being just one of them, and it would be wrong to think all the others had the same views. There's barely any info available online though. At least in English

Haven't the Nepalese caved, though, at least to some extent, now that they've voluntarily given up the Peoples' War and thrown themselves into the arena of liberal democracy? Are they going to be able to create a workers state out of that even if they settle internal disputes and win elections?

If Bangladeshi Maoist's join hands with Indian Maoists it would be just great both from a political point and strategic point, because Bangladesh and India's province of Bengal, and North Eastern States actually shares boarder, so if such a partnership is reached a passage could be created for exchange of arms and also movement of troops.

I doubt that's even close to being true.

...reminds me of that dane cook joke where he was listening to his girlfriend tell a story about a car crash she had seen or something and she was all "and there were like literally A MILLION firefighters there" and since he was being such a good boyfriend and listening all intently, he immediately got a mental image of a million firefighters running around yelling "why are there so many of us here!? we're all bumping into each other!"
