What is the current situation of the movement? There doesn't really seem to be too much talk about it in the media lately. I personally know very little about it except for a few facts concerning FLQ and the October Crisis. Is the movement still socialist?

its more of a nationalist thing than anything else really.

of course there is a shitload of bourgeois leftist who like the idea of independence, but has i said its more about nationalism than about leftism.

From my personnal experience, a lot of Separatist i know arepeople who have deep hatred for english speaking people and foreigner, this is really sad.
