Here's my reading list, which I am going to start reading shortly.

The German Ideology
The Poverty of Philosophy
The Principles of Communism
Wage Labour & Capital
Wages
True Socialism
The Communist Manifesto
Contribution to Critique of Political Economy
SOCIALISM: UTOPIAN AND SCIENTIFIC
The Dialectics of Nature
What is Marxism?

Now, after I'm done these, I am going to move onto Das Kapital, which I am going to buy off of Amazon Canada. If you can find me a cheaper online bookstore than that'd be greatly appreciated.

Some of these I've already read, but I feel I should read them again.

Any other recommendations are welcomed. :)

Wish me luck! :D

Good luck with your reading list:)! What books have you already read so far?

I'd read an overview of Marx's economics before reading "Capital" only because the first part is the hardest because it is abstract and you will feel like you are reading a textbook, rather than a revolutionary work... once you get past that though, the history stuff is great. (Some people grasp econ easier, but for me it's tough whereas history is easy).

As for recommendations: is there a particular aspect of radical thought that you would like to read up on?

Edit: Oh, and good luck by the way! It's a good list, but if you are doing it by yourself, I'd recommend that you take a flexible approach and follow your interests... one book will likely lead to another when you hit on interesting questions and so on.

The thing I really want to read soon (after these books) is a detailed description of what a Communist society would look like, but in a Marxist perspective.

EDIT: I'd also like to learn what dictatorship of the proletariat means. I am a little bit confused when it comes to that.

Check out Value, Price, and Profit.

Oops, I thought I added that to my list. Guess not (I'll add it).

Thanks for bringing that up. :D
