Hy comrades

I'm turning 18 soon, an as a gift from my parents, I thought that they could give a donation to a leftist movement[EZLN came to mind], but my father thinks it's illegal to give a donation to an "radical, armed(problem with armed), anti-government" movement, so he doesn't want to do it...
Is it indeed illegal? If yes, it would be hard to convince my father that he should donate to them, are there valuable alternatives?

This, or you could always contact a decent solidarity group (for the EZLN) and see if there is anything material the local poulation is requesting. They should have the network to ensure it will get there all above board.

Also i know is a bit shallow but it does feel lot better channeling tangible things to a population as opposed to a figure of mythical digits to an armed organisation and thus would no doubt set your fathers minds at ease.

Revleft needs money to function, so if you want to spare something, it is highly appreciated :)

Lt Col. (and latterly Fox News correspondent) Oliver North channeled money to the armed Contras in Nicaragua in 1985.
Likewise Miami-based Cuban emigre anti-Castro groups channel money to dubious organisations.
Various Irish-American groups fundraise for armed Irish republican groups too.
Don't see why you can't do what they did.

the group to donate to in the US is called the mexico solidarity network (http://www.mexicosolidarity.org/donate/en), they do good work and pretty much act as a liason between the zaps and supporters in the U.S., canada and europe. also an italian group called Ya basta (http://www.yabasta.it/)! who i can vouche for, they help coffee coops in chiapas sell their beans in european markets. but no its not illegal, although IANALL(AIPOOT) (I am not a luxembourg lawyer(although i play one on tv))
