Sometimes a thing happens that puts all of your petty complaints and grievances into perspective. For the last two weeks I've been wandering around being my usual cantankerous self, making mountains out of molehills and being outraged over every slight whether real or imagined.

Then I wake up this morning, fire up the ol' 'puter, log onto FailBook and discover via a status update that just shy of two weeks ago to the day a pair of dear old friends who were expecting their first child this summer lost the baby. She delivered a baby boy on the 21st of July and he passed away the same day after being carried full term. Kind of makes me want to punch myself in the face for losing sight of what real tragedy looks like.
