Some fairly important lines in that article btw- the idea of internal conflicts and the discussion of them creating new life is high on my list.

Not to be a downer, but the Bay Area doesn't count as the NW; that's central California, yo.

Too bad it's going to be held at the AK warehouse... hopefully that won't prejudice the discussion too much.

Regardless I see this more or less going like the Praxis conference after the movement peaked in summer 2006: a bunch of anarchists get together and drop the ball when it comes to doing anything useful with their hard-earned momentum.

Hopefully representatives from RAAN can be at this event to try and push the idea that people need to just start acting like a unified front instead of focusing on all the little organizational nitpicking they think will just create one from thin air.

I do not have very high hopes for this, I'm afraid :(

I'm aware that the bay area isn't in the NW- I was referring to a push for exchange between them and us- as the article sited killings by police in Portland.

ah, fair enough.

though i still don't think that any meaningful exchange will be able to take place without the generalized experience provided by a conscious organization.
